Once again, Pailan World has reached out to schools across West Bengal to share the knowledge of our international team. For the last month, the team of fifteen international teachers from the renowned University of New England have worked in tandem with the teachers of our Primary School. On Saturday, 12th December, over seventy teachers from all across West Bengal attended the workshop, which was led by Mrs Yvonne Masters, Director of Professional Experience. The visitors were all given a certificate of attendance which they will cherish. In the event were workshops on ‘Developing Language through the Curriculum’, ‘Working in Groups’, and ‘Lifting Literacy in the Primary School’.

 

Great football veterans like Sri Chuni Goswami, Sri Pranab Ganguly, Sri Shyam Thapa, Sri Subash Bhowmick, Sri Pradip Chowdhury and actors like Ms Shayantani and Mr. Bharat and dignitaries from various walks of life was grace the occasion.


 

Fifty-four teachers from all across Kolkata attended a dynamic workshop conducted by international consultant Ms Linda Crane. Ms Crane came from Australia to work with teachers in Pailan World School and today shared her expertise with teachers from invited Kolkata schools.

Pailan World School has always had the pleasure to play host to eminent personalities.

Shri Biswanath Choudhury, Hon'ble Minister-in-Charge W&CD & Social welfare and jails depertment, Govt. of West Bengal, Shri Sambaran Bandopadhyay, Eminent Cricketer cum Coach , Mr.Hiran & Ms.Srabonti, the famous flim stars came to our school during the closing serimony at 2nd Pailan Cup T-20 Tournament on 5th January 2009.




The hon'ble sports minister Mr Shubhas Chakraborty and Mr Dabang Gandhi Came to our school during the opening serimony at 2nd Pailan Cup T-20 Tournament on 27th December 2008.

 

Under 16 Cricket Team from South Africa was specially invited by the school authority to play an one day cricket match in our own ground on 13th December.

Kala Bagan Sporting Academic Club, Bangladesh was specially invited by the school authority to play two T-20 match on 6th Decenmer 2008. One match was play the day light and the second was on the flade light.

Sri Somnath Chatterjee,the Hon'ble Speaker of Loksabha and Sri Subodhkant Sahai, Hon'ble Minister of State for Food Processing(I/C) with Our Local MP Sri Sujan Chatterjee visited the School campus on 4th July 2008 at 5 pm and were facilitated by the staff members.

The US Consul General Mr. Henry Jardine, his wife Mrs Katheline Jardine, Dr. Beatrice Cameron (Regional Education Officer, Washington D.C), Mr Steve Capner (from the US Embassy, New Delhi) and Mr Sourabh Sen Economic Specialist visited the School campus for an orientation tour on 26th September 2005 and joined the children for lunch. They were impressed by the teaching methods and the standards we have been able to achieve in such a short period.

His Highness Syed Ali Jamshed Al Said (Sultanate of Oman) also visited the school campus on 28th September 2005 and appreciated the efforts in creating such a vast school with an excellent sports infra-structure and an environment suitable for international students.

Mr. Dinesh Chandra Dakua, Hon'ble Minister for Tourism, W.B Govt also visited the school on 27th September 2005 and was impressed by the environment, ambience and the discipline of the children.

The Italian Consul General – Mr. Agosta Pinna along with the entire AC Milan team from Italy have already visited the Pailan World School campus. The school has proved the international capacity of its sports infrastructure by hosting the sensational soccer match between the AC Milan team and students of Pailan Group of Institutions.
