TEACHERS Training Programme

In our continuous efforts to upgrade the image and standards of Pailan World School we have always welcomed experts to provide training and guide us to attain higher standards of education Mr. John Mason, Chief Education Consultant (GEMS) & Ex-Principal of St. James & Doon School, visited the school campus from 18th-20th May 2005. He instructed on Management & Administrative Systems in keeping with GEMS standards and guided us in areas related to curriculum teaching methods. Mr. Mason interviewed the teachers individually and made his own appraisal which was communicated to the Principal.

Within a span of 2 months another representative from GEMS, Mr. John Collins (Global Director, Training & Quality Assurance - GEMS) visited the school to provide training to our faculties on international best practices in teaching as well advice us on Quality Assurance techniques.

Pailan World School also hosted a training session conducted by the University of Cambridge International Examination between 3rd - 5th October 2005 for around 75 teachers from International Schools in Eastern India and the sub-continents, Bangladesh. Professional experts from Cambridge imparted training in Chemistry, Business Studies and Literature for the As & A level curriculum.

Joy Shea from Australia and Mr. S. Peter, representative of the organization called The Family, visited the school on the 7th of May, 2005. They conducted a motivation seminar for the staff where they read inspirational passages to help staff understand their mission in developing students who will be conscious of their commitment to society.
