	RUNNERS UP 5th AVS INTER SCGOOL INVITATIONAL CRICKET TOURNAMENT 26TH TO 30TH MARCH 2010
	THE GREAT TTIS CHALLANGE - 2009. 1st Prize- AIshi Baidya, Senior Group T.shirt painting. 1st Prize- Nilavro Bhanja, Sinior Group Collage Making. 2nd Prize- Aratrika Bose, Senior Group Mask Making. 2nd Prize- Rohit Roy,Junior Group Mask Making. 3rd Prize- Roshni Bera, Junior Group T.shart Painting. 2nd Prize- Fashion Show Group. Special Announcement- We made Hattrick Senior School Won the 1st Prize in 3 CONSECUTIVE YEAR IN A ROW + 1 extra total 4 nos of 1st Prize. FINALLY WE WERE AWARDED - CHAMPIONS OF CHAMPION TROPAY this year 2009
	British Shotokan open National Karate Championship 2009 held at Oldham Sports Center,Manchester on 10th and 11th of October.Total participants were more then six hundred including the English, Scottish and the Wales team.The three Pailanites mentioned below were the proud recipients of the following awards in the respective competition. Our heartiest greetings to all of them.
	Sourya Das- Third prize Winner in the Kumite event. Snehadeep Chattejee- 2nd prize in the Kata event and 2nd prize in the Kumite event. Pritam Chakrobarty - 2nd prize in the Kumite event and 3rd prize in the Kata event.
	TTIS -Great Challenge Competition 2008 from 27th November to 7th December, by the art & design students from PWS ranked 1st and 3rd in the poster designing competition & in collage making respectivety.
	Aviation Quiz organized by the Aeronautical Society of India, 1st Runner Up.
	PWS is the proud recipient of the TTIS Certificate of merit for "The School That Looks Beyond".

	Reached the semifinals of the LINC 5-A-SIDE SCHOOL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT and won the Lazers plate (3rd Place play off).
	Our school promotes the house competitive spirit. This is the shield for our inter-house football cup.
	Participants in the all Bengal Inter-school Yoga & Karate Championship- 2008.
	Award for 'Use of best props' in Dancw Waves 2007 held at PWS Campus.

Creativity, initiative and artistic ability shone to the fore when Pailan World School appeared at Abhilakshya, the inter-school fest held at Kalamandir. Over 900 students from a full range of Kolkata schools appeared in different contests.
We can be especially proud of our teams who contested the events. Without doubt, the Pailan name shone through their efforts.
The team who appeared in the fashion show displayed a wonderful range of women’s gowns and men’s apparel.  Ms Suchandra designed a wonderful range of clothing using recyclable materials such as newspaper, leaves and wood shavings sewn into cloth. The team modelled the clothing with aplomb of professionals and this combination caused the judging panel to rise and give a standing ovation to the team for their efforts. Deservedly, the fashion team won first prize, and were highly commended by the panel for their superior presentation.
The school’s rock band did not let us down either. In competition against bigger and more experienced bands, they won second prize with their exciting and popular music.
A further success was our Head Boy, Ronangon Chowdhury. He competed in the challenging Abhilakshya Grand event, where he had to participate in a group discussion, respond to questions on  a controversial issue and perform an entertaining item, where he chose to sing a French song, unaccompanied. He won second prize.

THE PAILAN WORLD SCHOOL STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE 15TH KUBOTA CUP NATIONAL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP HELD IN DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL, JAMSHEDPUE ON 19TH AND 20TH OF APRIL2008.

ONCE AGAIN THE FOLLING STUDENTS BROUGHT HONOUR FOR THEIR SCHOOL AND STATE IN THE NATIONAL LEVEL.

Our students have won 2 gold and 2 silver medals in the All India Kubota Cup Karate Championship at Priyadarshini Sports Complex, Mumbai on  under the guidance of our martial art instructor Mr. Tirthankar Nandy, a State Champion as well as a National Champion in Martial Arts.
