Pailan World School feels honoured to  announce the 9-a side Football tournament- Super Soccer 2009, which is scheduled from 29th Oct to Nov 1 2009.The school has always encouraged young talents in every field including sports. Some of the best talents will be on display on School football ground on these days. The School management has been extending their valuable support to recognize the talents tirelessly. The eight best teams will compete for the trophy which on knock out format. Mr Shyam Thapa inaugurated the event and expressed his happiness over the whole concept and said “this type of tournament should be organized more often” and he also thanked Pailan World School for their effort.

The winners will be awarded the Abhishek Memorial Trophy in loving memory of Mr. Abhishek Saha the beloved son of the chairman who was an ardent admirer of sports.

Great football veterans like Sri Chuni Goswami, Sri Pranab Ganguly, Sri Shyam Thapa, Sri Subash Bhowmick, Sri Pradip Chowdhury and actors like Ms Shayantani and Mr. Bharat and dignitaries from various walks of life will grace the occasion.

The Quarter finals took place on 29th & 30th October 2009

The semi-finals were played on 31st October 2009 between the following teams

Winners of Group A – National Gems Vs Winners of Group C – Future Foundation
Winners of Group B – M.P. Birla Vs Winners of Group D – St. Michael’s (Durgapur)

National Gems and St. Michael’s Durgapur will play the finals on 1st November 2009 from 2:30 pm.
