Joka, offering three Pre-sea residential courses for challenging careers on the high seas:
1-year diploma in Nautical Science leading to B.Sc in Nautical Science; Pre-sea G.P.
Rating (duration 6 months); and Saloon Rating (duration 4 months). Approved by Directorate
General of Shipping Government of India, the college enjoys the distinction of having
produced more than 1500 professional seafarers for the Indian/International shipping

Trident Marine Services & Yogi Seaways: |

Spearheading
the Pailan Groups offshore thrust, Trident Marine Services an ISO
9001-2000 Certified body is empanelled with the Shipping Corporation of India for
supply of maritime manpower. In addition to this, TMS also offers
specialized services
like Ship Management and Chartering Ship Supplies, to name a few. Body-shopping for
Manning (Crew/Officers) is also one of TMS core competencies. Under the high mast of
Yogi Seaways, the Pailan Group operates its own sea-cargo vessels, MV Andaman Victory and
MV Andaman Fortune. These two ships also serve as an offshore training campus for the
students of Trident College of Marine Technology. |

Pailan School of International Studies (PSIS): |

A Rs.
13-crore project on a 5-acre site (48,000 sq. ft. built-up area), at Bengal Pailan Park,
Joka. Inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mr. Buddhadeb
Bhattacharjee, on 29 November 2003, PSIS addresses the new and expanding horizons of
vocational opportunities. PSIS offers Bachelors courses in Business Administration,
Computer Application, Hospitality Management, Media Science and Travel & Tourism
Management under WBUT.

100-crore project on a 40-acre site (7-star, 1880-square-feet-per-child school environs

administrative and banking services map of India. The academy prepares eligible
aspirants for the rigors of both written and oral tests conducted by Recruitment Boards
and other designated bodies engaged in screening incumbents for government services
employment or for admission to higher-level, specialized academic courses. |

Pailan Park Development Authority & Bengal Pailan Park: |

Housing
and Infrastructure Development are issues central to the state of West Bengal and,
equally, to the Pailan Group where major resources and tie-ups have been expressly
dedicated to the building mission. The Groups flagship Pailan Park
Infrastructure Development Authority Ltd. is currently in a joint-sector initiative with
West Bengal Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. to create Eastern
Indias single largest integrated township Bengal Pailan Park, the three
phases of which envisage a staggering 16,00,000 square feet of built-up commercial,
residential and community spaces. Another mega project underway finds Pailan Park
Infrastructure Development Authority Ltd., in partnership with the Sports Department,
Government of West Bengal, blazing a 32-crore-rupee trail at Bratachari Gram, Thakurpukur
by way of a joint sector sports complex and Eastern Indias first-of-its-kind
automobile engineering college. |

forefront of the entertainment/media industry in West Bengal, Apurba Productions is busy
benchmarking new professionalized standards that have so far eluded what was once the hub
of creative expression in India. In a span of two years (2003-2004), Apurba Productions
did its industry and, indeed, the Pailan Group proud with two runaway box office successes
on the silver screen. Currently it has a large portfolio of television serials, including
Satabdir Janani Sarada Moni (Zee Bangla) and Punorutthan (Doordarshan). A major landmark
for Apurba Productions is already in the making at Bengal Pailan Park its very own
studio, complete with state-of-the-art cine, digital video and audio facilities on a
5-acre site, the foundation stone for which was laid on 12th March 2005 by eminent film
personality, Mr. Soumitra Chatterjee. |

Ascon Agro PE & B: |

Leveraging
the agricultural strengths of West Bengal with world-class process technology, Ascon Agro
makes its first mechanized production foray at Dhaniakhali in the Hooghly District of West
Bengal setting up a 3600 MTPA Potato Flakes Plant (a 100% EOU) in technical and
financial collaboration with AFT/PB Conceal of France (2AMIS Group). The Foundation Stone
for the Dhaniakhali Plant was laid jointly by Monsieur Nicolas Forissier, the Honble
Minister for Agriculture, Food Processing, Fisheries & Rural Affairs, Government of
France, and Mr. Sailen Sarkar, Honble Minister for Food Processing &
Horticulture, Government of West Bengal. Christened Unit #1, this project is a
precursor to much more on Ascon Agros ambitious anvil. |
