It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the sixth academic session of Pailan World School.

To be honest, the haul from blueprint to reality – for a mammoth project like ours – has been truly and duly demanding.

Those who joined us in our start-up session (April ’05) shared, in equal measure, the travails and, indeed, the excitement of a one-of-its-kind school in the making. Behind the scenes, it was Pailan Educational Trust working overtime and deploying its proven managerial expertise to tie up the loose ends. And up front were our global partners, GEMS and Westfields Sports School – ever at hand to keep us steadfast on track. In the midst of it all, Cambridge University gave us cause for cheer: an ever-so-early affiliation as their official centre in India.

The academic session commencing April ‘09 will find Pailan World School opening its doors to residential students. This would truly be a historic moment and, need I say, a moment that I look forward to sharing with all Pailan-ites – old and new, and their families alike.

All aboard? Well, let’s set sail. The world’s our port of call.
