SUB : CREATIVE TALENT HUNT INTER SCHOOL Art & Craft COMPETITION.
P.W.S organized an Interschool Creative talent hunt Art & Craft competition (one day camp.) on 5th. Feb.2010 at Heritage Centre- P.W.S campus through which P.W.S wanted to entertain and educate young scholars about the rich and vibrant cultural heritage of our country.
A Number of Schools took part in this event. To name a few - South City International School,
La-Martinere for Boys, Akshar, Lakshmipat Singhania, M.P.Birla foundation, Calcutta International Schools & others.
Mr. Niloy Sen ( H.O.D) Art Dept. took the initiative in organizing and co-ordinating all aspects of the event management to make it a success under the guidance of the Principal and higher Authorities as well as co-operation from all the teachers & staff members.
There were two categories - Painting competition & Mask making. ( both for Junior & Senior School).
Eminent creative personalities like Mr. Samir Aich precided as a chief guests followed by eminent judges Mr. Bhabatosh Sutar & Mr. Tarun dey.
Akshar school bagged the most number of prizes- 3nos, followed by Calcutta International School 2 first prizes in Junior & Senior Painting category.
P.W.S students did not take part in the Interschool competition –instead an Interhouse Art competition was organized exclusively for the P.W.S students on the same day. Results will be declared within due course of time.
