UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE, UK
(IGCSE) GRADE IX & X
The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is the world's most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year-olds. It develops successful students, giving them excellent preparation for their next steps in education, and equips them with invaluable skills for future life. The challenging course enables students to learn more than facts. It encourages students to ask challenging questions and to develop intercultural understanding while maintaining a strong sense of their own identity and culture.
The IGCSE syllabus is broad-based and has a very strong stress on application-based learning. It lays emphasis on inculcating the spirit of enquiry. It teaches you to teach yourself as opposed to being taught. This approach is what makes it very special, not only for those planning to study abroad, but also for those who define education as the creation of an independent thinking mind.
The IGCSE programmes are recognized around the world and in India. The curriculum, pedagogy and activities focus on international perspectives making students global citizens in the true sense of the word. The curriculum contains five groups from which the students may choose as per their inclinations and talents. At the end of the programme students are assessed by the school as well as the IGCSE examiners.

General F A Q's:-
Question 1: What are the benefits of the AS & A Level Programme when compared with other curricula?
Answer: Most importantly, perhaps, the A Level programme fosters the spirit of learning through questioning and discovery-the finding out of the 'why', not just the learning of the 'what'. Its balanced combination of Commerce and Science subjects avoids premature specialization, while its international perspective encourages students to learn about their own culture and those of others. Universities and employers thus know that the successful A Level student is intelligent, well organized, hard-working, internationally aware and capable of the critical and creative thinking that tomorrow's world demands.
Question 2: Is the A Level Qualification recognized by universities worldwide?
Answer: Yes, the A Level Qualification is recognised and welcomed all over the world.
Question 3: Is the A Level Qualification recognized in India?
Answer: Yes, The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) recognizes the A Level as equivalent to the Plus Two (10 + 2) Class of the Senior Secondary School, which is the eligibility criterion for admission to the undergraduate courses in universities in India.
Question 4: Will an A Level student be able to appear for the entrance examinations for admission to professional courses like engineering, medicine, management, law, etc. in India and with what chance of success?
Answer: The students will not only be able to appear for exams like CET, PMT, IIT, BMS, BMCCC but will also find themselves better equipped due to the in depth and self-study undertaken during the A Level Programme. The student must however be familiar with required subject combinations, and levels that would ensure student eligibility for particular professional course.
